Abstract:As a stable skeleton structure composed of a high proportion of coarse aggregate, the control of compaction construction process parameters of the coarse-graded epoxy asphalt EA-10(C) is particularly strict. Relying on the coarse-graded epoxy asphalt steel deck pavement project of the Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge, three test methods of gyratory compaction, Marshall compaction and wheel rolling with ruts are adopted to explore the effects of containment temperature, containment time and compaction efficacy on the forming quality of coarse-graded epoxy asphalt mixture. The results indicate that the most easily compacted containment temperature of coarse-graded epoxy asphalt EA-10(C) is 170 ℃ ± 5 ℃, and the optimal containment time is 0.5~1.5 h. A compaction temperature is not lower than 135 ℃ able to ensure the compactness of the mixture. After the rolling of wheel roller from 9 to 12 times, the void ratio of the mixture is approximately 3%, and the structural depth reaches about 0.7 mm. The combination method of pavement compaction is verified through the trial paving of the test section. After the construction, the void ratio is found to be 1.8%, the construction depth is 0.58 mm, and there is no water seepage on the surface, which meet the requirements of related indexes, and provide the technical guidance and data support for the control of construction temperature and rolling technology of similar steel deck pavement projects.
