Abstract:With the deepening of urbanization and changes in demographic structure in China, building an all-age friendly, inclusive and shared urban environment has become a crucial goal for urban construction in the new era. As a fundamental component of urban public spaces, the quality of accessible systems on municipal roads directly impacts the social equity and the level of urban civilization. Taking the comprehensive improvement project for traffic and spatial environment on Fuqiang Road in Shenzhen as a typical case, an in-depth analysis on the transition from extensive construction to refined management of accessible systems on municipal roads is conducted. Its aim is to provide the technical references and practical paradigms for the planning, design and implementation of similar projects, which help the municipal infrastructure develop towards higher quality and more humanistic care in China
