Abstract:As key nodes for traffic flow conversion, the operational efficiency and safety of the urban road intersections directly affect the overall performance of the urban traffic system. Taking the intersection of Chuangxin Avenue and Yunfei Road in Hefei as a research object, aiming at the typical challenges in slow-traffic rights, spatial scale, traffic organization, and signal control, a systematic management idea centered on "spatiotemporal reshaping and technological empowerment" is proposed. By comprehensively applying measures such as intersection compression, clarification of slow traffic rights, optimization of right-turn radius, adjustment of traffic channelization, and control of adaptive signal, the traffic efficiency and safety at intersections are significantly enhanced. The research result indicates that the governance strategy of "spatialtemporal reshaping and technological empowerment" can effectively resolve the congestion at the complex urban intersections, providing the replicable practical experience for the refined governance of similar intersections.
