Abstract:After nearly two decades of rapid development in the field of wastewater treatment, some early-constructed wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) have experienced severe equipment aging, frequent maintenance, significant declines in equipment efficiency, and notable increases in chemical and electricity consumption. There are potential safety hazards in the operation of WWTPs. Additionally, the level of intelligence in early-constructed WWTPs is low, which increases the operational difficulty for management and control personnel, urgently necessitating the upgrading and renewal of wastewater treatment equipment. Updating the equipment in WWTPs aligns with the national policy directives, helping to enhance the operational safety and intelligence level of WWTPs, and reduce the energy consumption and personnel operational intensity. Combined with the engineering cases, the design essentials for equipment renewal in WWTPs are introduced, providing valuable insights for the renewal design of similar wastewater treatment equipment.
