Abstract:The construction of child-friendly blocks is an important content in high-quality urban development, and enhancement of livability and safety, and is also a key measure to safeguard children's rights and promote their all-round development. Taking the surrounding blocks of the Seventh Primary School in Xianning City, Hubei Province as an example, based on the perspective of children at a "one-meter height", the local practical exploration centered on the reconstruction of the surrounding environment of schools is examined. By analyzing the typical issues in the current construction of child-friendly blocks, the strategies and experiences of the "171" construction model in Xianning City are summarized, aiming to provide a reference for similar cities in China to promote the construction of child-friendly blocks.
