Abstract:To resolve the prominent contradiction between construction and traffic operation during the reconstruction of high flow toll stations, the construction progress and traffic efficiency are balanced, and the traffic interference is reduced to provide the technical support for similar reconstruction projects. Taking Gaodong Toll Station of an expressway as the research object, the focus is on the engineering adaptability of traffic organization during reconstruction with traffic maintenance. Three differentiated traffic organization schemes are designed. Combined with the measured traffic data, a comparative analysis is carried out from key dimensions such as vehicle traffic efficiency and construction period to optimize the construction organization and lane configuration. The results show that the phased closure construction scheme for front and rear toll gates has significant comprehensive advantages, featuring a shorter construction period and less traffic interference. Meanwhile, the core points of traffic organization optimization for high flow toll station reconstruction are summarized. The research results can effectively guide the traffic maintenance and reconstruction of high flow toll stations, balance the construction quality, efficiency and traffic safety, and possess remarkable engineering application value.
