Abstract:In view of the problems such as high cost, difficult operation and maintenance, redundant data and one-sided assessment existing in the current research on bridge health monitoring and condition assessment, a set of long-term monitoring scheme of bridge structure condition based on intermittent comprehensive testing is proposed. The improvement direction, design principles and basic framework of the long-term bridge monitoring scheme are introduced. Taking the Butterfly Arch Bridge on Hefei Airport Road as an example, the basic contents of the scheme for this bridge are expounded, including the key monitoring parts and contents of the bridge, the processing and analysis methods of monitoring data, as well as the comprehensive assessment methods for the structural condition of the bridge. The research results show that the proposed monitoring scheme can integrate the beneficial achievements of traditional bridge inspection and assessment, and bridge health monitoring, which can serve as a beneficial exploration and effective supplement to the existing methods for monitoring the condition of bridge structures.
