Abstract:The stress-absorbing layer is a highly practical interlayer structure in pavement structures. This type of material itself has the excellent deformation adaptability and elastic recovery performance, which can effectively absorb and dissipate the concentrated stress transmitted from the joints of the old base course to the overlay surface course, thereby delaying the initiation and propagation of reflective cracks. By designing the materials of the stress-absorbing layer and studying their pavement performance, the pavement performance tests are conducted under the existing asphalt-aggregate ratio to compare and verify the pavement performance of the original SBS modified asphalt after composite modification on the original basis. It can be concluded that on the premise of a known asphalt-aggregate ratio, the pavement performance of the mixture after composite modification has been significantly improved, which can provide a reference for the crack resistance and prevention of pavement structures.
