Abstract:To explore the performance evolution law of expressways under long-term service, the statistical analysis is conducted on long-term observation data from field stations. The evolution laws and correlations between meteorological conditions and pavement performance indicators are summarized, the evolution models for key pavement indicators are established, and a prediction method for critical pavement performance is proposed. The results show that high temperatures in summer and low temperatures in winter in Jiangsu Province play a key role in the formation and evolution of transverse cracks and rutting distresses in pavement. The evolution models of key indicators established based on evolution characteristics can satisfactorily reflect the evolution of pavement service performance and scientifically predict the future pavement evolution conditions. The research findings provide a valuable reference for expressway maintenance decision-making.
