Abstract:As the urban development enters the stage of stock optimization in Shanghai, the urban renewal has put forward multi-dimensional and refined requirements for the spatial governance of rivers. Aiming at the prominent problems of disciplinary barriers and technological fragmentation in current river planning and design, a five-dimensional interdisciplinary integration framework of “hydraulic engineering - landscape ecology - humanistic landscape - historical culture - governance mechanism” is established based on the two localized concepts of forest-water integration and “Shanghai-style Jiangnan”, and three core innovative theories of “forest-water integration” ecological network theory, “Shanghai-style Jiangnan” cultural heritage continuation theory and “multi-functional synergy” governance theory are proposed. Through systematic verification of typical engineering practices such as the world-class waterfront area of “One River and One Stream”, the “Double Water Ring” planning of Pudong, and the ecological corridor of the Outer Ring West River in Changning District, the research result shows that the interdisciplinary integration can effectively enhance the ecological service functions of rivers, continue the regional historical context and optimize the governance coordination mechanism, which provides the theoretical support and practical paradigms for the river governance under the background of high-density megacity renewal, and has significant reference value for promoting the overall improvement of urban ecological resilience, cultural identity and spatial quality.
