Abstract:Taking the Shanghai Rainbow Pedestrian Overpass Project as the research background, an integrated construction strategy is adopted to address the construction challenges in hoisting large segments of long-span special-shaped steel box girders spanning water areas. The key technologies including on-site segment assembly procedures, selection and mechanical verification of hoisting equipment, optimized layout of hoisting points, design of temporary support systems, precise control of hoisting positioning, and full-process safety monitoring during construction are explained in detail, which solves the problems of precision control and construction risk management for large-tonnage, complex cross-section and cross-channel hoisting. Engineering practice demonstrates that one hoisting operation can meet the requirements, and the alignment of the bridge is very smooth. Throughout the entire construction process, the safety and effective control can be ensured, providing technical guidance and engineering experience references for the integral hoisting of large segments of similar long-span special-shaped steel box girders.
