Abstract:The Chafang Road Northward Extension Project is a key control project connecting Shengzhou Xinchang Station with the Shengzhou South Interchange of the Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway. Constrained by multiple factors including existing high-speed railways, expressways, mountains and permanent farmland, the multiple schemes are compared and analyzed. A Y-shaped interchange scheme is recommended. Without touching the red line of permanent farmland, the direct connection and intercommunication with the central urban area and the expressway entrances and exits are achieved simultaneously. Based on the four-stage method of traffic prediction and traffic capacity verification, the construction scale of the segmented lanes is scientifically demonstrated. In view of the environmentally sensitive areas such as villa districts and schools near the tunnel, it is proposed to adopt the mechanical excavation method throughout the line, effectively avoiding the environmental risks such as construction vibration, noise and dust. In addition, to address the pain point of decentralized tunnel management in county-level cities, an integrated operation and maintenance mode for regional tunnel clusters is proposed to realize the intensive management and control of multi-tunnel resources. The research results can provide references for the planning, design, operation, maintenance and management of urban roads under similar constrained conditions.
