Abstract:With the continuous expansion of urban built-up areas and rapid advancement of urbanization, the conflicts at the intersections between outlying existing railways and newly built municipal roads have become increasingly prominent. Serving as the critical control points for smooth project construction, such intersections will have a profound impact on the long-term development of the area where the road is located and the future direction of urban transportation, which is particularly crucial to scientifically compare the pros and cons of design schemes. Combined with practical conditions, the engineering overview, research scope and construction constraints are firstly introduced. Secondly, the design of the plane, longitudinal section and cross-section of the road can determine whether the overall and segmented passing schemes under the existing railway meet the implementation requirements. Finally, the scheme of passing under the railway in sections is recommended through the comparison of multiple aspects such as the impact on the current railway operation, pipeline laying, slow traffic, engineering cost and construction period. Furthermore, around the construction technology of the passing under railway and the design of rainwater pumping stations in the underpass sections, it is considered to optimize the design of the U-turn and emergency passages in extreme situations, which can provide certain reference and inspiration for the design of similar urban road and existing railway intersection projects.
